The Waldorf Astoria Spa in Park City Utah is a fantastic place to find rejuvenation. The pure mountain air, the challenging terrain on the muscles, it all comes together to make you want a great massage or treatment and we found it to be one of the most memorable therapies we had at a US hotel.
The Spa prides itself on personalized service to enhance and restore the body. They pride themselves in using local ingredients combined with contemporary techniques to make a menu full of exciting options.
We found the booking very easy since we were in shoulder season and there were some discounts as well. Overall the prices are going to be standard for the US, but the quality of the service was stellar. We were easily accommodated for our treatments.
The staff are very well trained and these were some of the best deep tissue and sports massages we’ve ever had. The treatments were carefully applied with the masseuse checking in regularly to make sure pressure, room temperature or any adjustments were made. It is easy to tell the therapists have an advanced knowledge of reflexology and physiological techniques.
Two of the therapies we personally tried and recommend are:
The Shiatshu massage which alleviates stress and promotes circulation. Its focus on body meridians really allows for a feeling of energy transference throughout the therapy.
The Bindi Body Rejuvenation which uses herb exfoliation and a vigorous massage with Dosha oil and ends with a cocoon wrap that really elevates the process of self healing and indulgence.
In addition to great massages they have a variety of beautification rituals as well as a Hair and Nail Salon and Waxing treatments. Since weddings are a big deal at the resort there are several Bridesmaids treatments and a series of three chemical peel treatments. There is even a special deal for Utah residents on Mondays Tuesdays and Wednesdays with 50% any signature treatments.
More than other places the gym and wellbeing facilities are considered a tandem with treatments here. That’s because they take a holistic approach to wellbeing. Many of the hotel guests are avid athletes from hiking, to endurance sports and winter sports. So some treatments can be paired with wellness sessions led through a series of custom designed fitness regimens.
