After a delightful stay we are happy to report that the culture of St Regis is alive and well in Aspen. This town has its own proper charm and magic. Sitting so peacefully on the slopes of a gorgeous mountain it is impossible not to be overwhelmed by the beauty of nature. The St. Regis hotel is a beautiful and modern facility whose appearance simultaneously matches the local style of Aspen.
The hotel is a series of personalized experiences from start to finish and they get the details right. A nice touch of hospitality is the intimate lobby where a roaring fire rages with a beautiful view of the mountains in the backdrop. A selection of coffee, tea and snacks to go is welcome upon departure or arrival or just while hanging out in the lobby.
Check in was a breeze where they were more than happy to upgrade us based on our status and they had taken note of our preferences based on our history of staying in their hotels.
The room isn’t just a place to sleep but a home away from home. They are cozy and contemporary all at once. Ours had hard wood floors and furniture, an expresso machine, a comfy bed, and an ornate desk. The gym was fantastic, but with so much gorgeous nature around we spent our time hiking outdoors five hours per day. There are outdoor hot tubs, outdoor fire pits with mountain views, s’mores and a nightly champagne sabering.
The staff services were particularly on point and more comprehensive like the wonderful St. Regis hospitality we’ve had in their Asia and Middle East Markets. Our butler on arrival thought of everything to get to know our preferences. He unpacked and packed our luggage.
The butler service brought us extra dishware, provided a mini-fridge to accommodate our dietary needs, and took the liberty of sending us a fruit and cheese plate to complement the fine wines we had brought with us. Coffee, Tea and Hot Chocolate were available upon request all day and night too. Staff at the front door drove us daily to the various trailheads where we began our hikes and were a wealth of information about all things Aspen.
For us the Spa was one of the hotel’s best highlights. It is a well designed space that offers a jacuzzi and cold plunge pool, a waterfall room with a heated pool and a steam room. In addition to the large treatment areas there is an oxygen lounge where you can take in some refreshing air that helps with the local altitude.
