Hotel Review: Kempinski Residences and Suites Doha, Qatar

Kempinski is a hotel brand that stands out for its commitment to classic European principles of luxury, wellbeing and service. The brand spreads far beyond its European roots to fascinating and destinations and Doha is another of their great properties.

First Impressions:

Always striving to be unique, the Kempinski address in fanciful Doha is a place of definition. The building is made of all Suites and Residences. It is also the current tallest tower in Doha which gives it definition on a competitive skyline of ever impressive skyscrapers. The property emits an atmosphere of presence right from the start. The arrival is easy enough as it is right in the heart of the business and financial district. The entryway is a stylish and semi enclosed area which gives one a feeling of privacy arriving from the busy street.

The entrance lobby is small, yet every inch of it is glamorous. There are exquisite patterns on the marble stone and latticework adorns the reception desk and walls. Friendly staff can lend a hand for any sort of on site or off site bookings and a fleet of elevators are ready and willing to take one anywhere in the range of the 60 plus floors the hotel has to offer. Many of the on site amenities are on lower floors while the uppermost spots are reserved for the all out residences.

The hotel offers a total of 370 suites and villas which have a keen focus on space, understated elegance and modern accommodations. The decoration of many is based on simple designs and functional living space. There are one to four bedroom suites, the largest being the ‘sky villas’ that occupy the final floors. The luxury of these rooms is impressive, but more than anything they are designed to make even the shortest stay feel like being at home. There is everything one needsin terms of utensils in the fully stocked kitchen for cooking, while a handy washer and dryer as well as various cleaning services to make the place feel like home.

Social Venues:

Because many guests here in the residences find themselves here for some time there is a large focus on the social amenities. The gym is star of the art and the health club boasts two beautiful indoor pools as well as sauna and steam wellbeing facilities, always a priority in the Kempinski brand. The European cuisine of Aroma offers a contemporary take on some of the world’s most beloved dishes. The Lounge is the social hub for happy hour and talk of the town specialty eats.
