We are always looking to get the best experience and value in our stays and so finding a worthwhile property for a five night stay in LA proved a fun challenge. A combination of our hotel status, location and good reviews led to the choice of the Hilton San Gabriel.
The setting is in a noticeably Chinese American neighborhood, with shops, malls, restaurants and almost everything written side by side in English and Chinese.
The property offered us everything we expect from a good Hilton. Staff were helpful at check in and they offered us perks that recognized our status. Parking was affordable considering this is an LA venue. The property is clean with a spacious room that was obviously recently renovated. Amenities and cleaning services were on point.
Each morning the breakfast offered a unique blend of Western and Chinese foods served fresh and hot. The pool is bigger than what you would expect being in a big city, but it is privately situated in a central atrium.
This is a great property going and coming from downtown LA, which in low traffic can take around 15 minutes and it is around 25 minutes from Beverly hills.
We had some reservations about the location at first, but it turned out to be a quiet and more relaxed part of the city that was close to everything with a rental car. This is an excellent call and a great value location for Los Angeles.
