The dreamy island destinations of the South Pacific are for many a once in a lifetime, last frontier or even just a more complex set of travel plans. Our work as travel advisors is immensely rewarding when we can make a dream destination more convenient or enjoyable than our clients ever thought possible.
For most travelers going to Bora Bora there is just one route they consider, flying out of Los Angeles. It is a major airport with probably the best known route to the island and so that is where most people look at prices and schedules. Our travel research has allowed us to bring a completely different route that offers great times and prices and additionally adds a stop in world renowned Easter Island.
The route we recommend for travelers who want to get even more out of their Pacific journey is to take LAN Chile from Santiago to Easter Island and then the continuing flight onto Papeete, the capital and main airport of French Polynesia. The beauty of this route is that LAN is an excellent airline with new planes. Who would not want to throw lovely and mysterious Easter Island into an itinerary? And for those coming from outside the U.S. to Bora Bora this saves on the whole extra process of collecting baggage in transfer that would have to be done in L.A.
Oftentimes the biggest obstacles to the places we dream about are the things we don’t know could be different. Options always exist and it is our work to make them real for you, so if you want to go somewhere allow us to be part of your journey, because we know the world and the many ways to get you there.
